the gudgeon pin!

A replacement gudgeon pin (whatever that is!) had to be machined to fit. Unfortunately it was over machined and had to be put in the bin. A replacement part will arrive this morning and be taken tomorrow to the machinist. Lets hope we don’t screw up a second time! Time is passing us by.

 

Thanks to Wikipedia; the gudgeon pin (UK, wrist pin US) is that which connects the piston to the connecting rod and provides a bearing for the connecting rod to pivot upon as the piston moves
