One of the more difficult tasks for a P2P entrant is to try and get a second passport.
Thanks to Richard I took the task seriously enough to be granted a personal interview
with the Passport office in Victoria.
I had all manner of letters , birth certificates, old passports, pictures and even a physical specimen of myself. I arrived early and had a positive demeanour for my inquisitor.
The answer was simple, unequivocal and had no y in it - NO .
Luckily I remembered my wife's exhortation to remain calm and polite. It was difficult as the person
behind the counter was adamant that I was clearly a fraudster and deserving of nothing more than her complete disdain.
Tuesday will decide whether I or the "bird in the turban" is the winner
