Awesome day today. We replaced baldy the wheel with a spare, we managed to get the wipers to work manually and now we have not one bit two headlamps. It rained aggressively as we set off to start a 40 km climb mainly in first gear. That took most of the morning but as we crested the top the sun came out and the most fantastic sweeping roads appeared before us. Perfect for an Aston Martin or some such.We saw stunning scenery and had a great afternoon. Arrived at the hotel to be told we were going with the Iranian car club to meet the Vice President of Iran. I Imagine It must be like an Iranian rally going through the UK to be told they were meeting John Prescott. Anyhow tomorrow we are driving 300km to the Turkish border and then another 300km to Erzerum. Sounds like an early start.
